Happy ending for kittens found in abandoned car

Officers named the pair Martin and Courtney after officers in the neighbourhood team

Two kittens were rescued by West Midlands Police after officers were called to reports of an abandoned car.

The pair were found in the dumped vehicle in Sparkhill, Birmingham, and given a check-up before being taken to Moseley police station.

They have since been rehomed by a friend of an officer and named Martin and Courtney, after PC Martin Knott, one of the officers who found them, and PC Courtney Reynolds from the neighbourhood team.

"It was such a surprise to see the two kittens in the vehicle and we knew we had to ensure their story had a happy ending," said PC Knott.
