The Isle of Man has experienced its warmest summer on record, meteorologists have confirmed.
Figures released by Ronaldsway Met Office showed the mean temperature across June, July and August - which includes overnight lows as well as daytime highs - was 16C (60.8F).
The previous warmest summer, logged in 1995, saw an average 24-hour temperature of 15.9C.
Observer Gary Salisbury said the "consistency of the warm periods" - rather than "extreme" peaks - had made the summer of 2025 the warmest since records began in 1948.
The average top temperature across the period was 18.8C, which was 1.2C above the 30-year mean recorded between 1991 and 2020.
The hottest day of the season fell on 12 July when the mercury peaked at 26.7C.
Forecasters said average minimum temperatures were also "significantly above average" for the three months, up 1.3C to 13.3C.
Meanwhile, average rainfall was down 23% on average, with 5.7in (14.6cm) measured in total.
Sunshine hours were largely in line with the average.

The warmest day of summer this year was recorded on 12 July
The statistics also showed that eight of the island's top 10 warmest summers had occurred since 2000.
Mr Salisbury said: "Many will be surprised that the memorable summer of 1976 now slips to ninth place on the list, with a mean of 15.3C.
Despite "a blip" in early June which coincided with the TT Races, this summer "turned out to be one of the best on record, with consistently warm temperatures and below average rainfall.
"Having our warmest summer following our warmest spring means this has been the warmest combined spring and summer recorded.
"It will be interesting to see how the annual data pans out."
