Three people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed at a house in York, police said.

Officers were called to a disturbance at a property on Huntington Road at about 23:00 BST on Sunday and found a man with serious abdominal injuries, North Yorkshire Police said.

The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition, the force said.

Two men aged 51 and 55 and a woman aged 34 remain in custody.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers believe all parties involved are known to each other and that the wider community were not at risk."
