Body discovered in search for missing man

A body has been found during a search for a missing man.

Essex Police said it had suspended its search for Steven Brown after the discovery of a man's body near Wickford.

Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of the 43-year-old, who was reported missing from Basildon, has been informed, a force spokesperson said.

They added: "The man's death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
