Work on a new library and community hub for Weybridge, in Surrey, is nearing completion.

The new facility is due to open by the end of September.

Library and community services will carry on operating in the Weybridge Centre for the time being, although there will be a short closure when the library service is relocated.

Surrey County Council has said the new hub will be "modern, sustainable, accessible and multi-purpose".

The opening of the new hub has been delayed for essential work to be carried out by UK Power Networks.

Elmbridge Borough Council said its priority was to "ensure a smooth transition for Weybridge Centre customers into the new facility".

As well as the library, the hub will provide space for youth services and community groups.
