The identity of a woman who died after she was found at her home in Staffordshire has been released by police.

Philippa Lewitt, 46, known to friends and family as Pippa, was found at Devereux Gardens, Great Haywood, shortly after 17:00 GMT on Wednesday, police said.

She was taken to hospital where she later died and two men were arrested following her death.

Bryan Jones, 50, from Rugeley, was later charged with breaching a restraining order, while a 24-year-old man from Stafford was arrested on suspicion of being involved with drug supply and released on bail.

Mr Jones was previously arrested on suspicion of murder and coercive or controlling behaviour.

He was released on bail ahead of a future hearing at Stafford Crown Court.

The case was also referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct following previous police contact.
