A singer from Guernsey has recorded a Christmas song at the world-famous recording studios, Abbey Road in London.

Emily Fern, 23, said it had been "an honour" to record "Christmas Dream" with the London Symphony Orchestra, Bez from the band Happy Mondays and Phil Hartnoll from dance group Orbital.

The former St Sampson's High School student said it was "a dream come true" to work with the musicians at the studios immortalised by The Beatles.

The track is due to be released in November and Fern added "I hope it's the next number one - a girl can dream".

A black and white photo of three men and Emily Fern smile at the camera as they stand on steps leading up to a large wooden door with bay trees pots either side of it. The sign above the door reads ABBEY ROAD. One of the men is Bez and another is Phil Hartnoll.Image source, Emily Fern
