Residents living at Sedgley Court in Dudley are feeling excited about the opening of their own pub

Residents living in a care home say they feel excited about the opening of a pub-themed room, intended to help them socialise and connect with the past.
Sedgley Court Care Home in Dudley will officially open the Sedgley Arms on Friday.
Nothing will be sold from the bar, but residents will have the opportunity to act out working in a pub environment. Drinks will be locked away when not under supervision.
Alan Wedge has lived in the home for two and a half years and said he would be a "regular visitor". "Anything new, we like doing," he said. "We look forward to joining in."
The care home will also be using the space to host traditional ploughman's lunches and games nights.

Mr Wedge said staff at the home "try and make things as different as possible" for residents.
Speaking of the new pub, he said: "It's typical of the environment here, they have got a lot of imagination."
Front of house manager Stacey Morrall said: "It's really important, obviously for the social aspect of it, encouraging relatives and friends to come in, and making new friendships.
"Reminiscence is really important, a space and interaction for them to be able to resonate with their past and their memories and families."
