Remembrance Sunday will be marked by communities across Sussex this weekend in honour of those killed in conflicts.

At war memorials across the county, crowds are expected to gather for ceremonies as wreaths are laid and silences held in tribute to the fallen.

There are also a number of annual parades in towns and villages, followed by services at local churches.

We have rounded up some of the events happening this year.

Ahead of Remembrance Sunday, a concert will be held in Littlehampton on Saturday evening to pay respect to those lost in the two World Wars and other conflicts.

The Edwin James Festival Orchestra will perform at Littlehampton United Church on High Street from 19:30 GMT, in support of the Royal British Legion.

On Sunday, a host of services and parades will be held across Brighton and Hove.

The Royal Sussex Regimental Association Remembrance Service will start at 09:00 GMT at the Royal Sussex Regiment Memorial, Regency Square, in Brighton.

The Brighton Parade and Service will be held from 10:50 GMT, followed by wreath laying at Brighton War Memorial.

In Hove, a short service and official wreath laying beginning at 14:30 GMT at the War Memorial will be followed by a march past, salute, and parade to All Saints Church for the civic memorial service.

Lewes Town Council is holding a remembrance parade from the top of High Street at about 14:30 GMT, marching to the War Memorial for wreath laying. A church service at St Michael’s Church will follow at 15:00.

East Grinstead will host a small service at East Court starting at 10:00 GMT before the main parade leaves from the Post Office in London Road at 10:40.

The main service will be held at the War Memorial, led by St Swithun's choir.

The Southwick Veterans Hub is holding a parade from The Romans pub to Southwick Green Memorial. The parade will feature a marching band and veterans alongside military vehicles and local motorbike and scooter clubs from Bognor and Brighton.
