Three men arrested over Weston-super-Mare violence

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of affray after violence broke out in Weston-super-Mare.

Avon and Somerset Police said officers were called to the Ashcombe Road area following a call about a disturbance "involving a number of people" at about 10.35 BST on Monday.

Two of the arrested men were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.

One has since been released and is in custody. The other remains in hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police have asked for any witnesses to come forward.
