Surrey Fire & Rescue Service said six fire engines, two water carriers and one aerial ladder platform had been sent to St Piers School in Lingfield after the blaze broke out at about 13:45 GMT.
The fire is ongoing but is not affecting the main school buildings, a fire service spokesperson said.
People living nearby have been advised to keep windows and doors shut.
The spokesperson said: "No-one in nearby areas has been asked to evacuate.
"If you live nearby, please keep your windows and doors closed.
"An investigation of the cause of the fire will be carried out further down the line."
