All lanes have reopened following a crash on the M1, but drivers are being warned to allow extra time to travel while delays clear.

At 07:50 GMT on Wednesday, National Highways said three of four lanes were closed southbound between junction 25 for Nottingham and Derby, and junction 24A for East Midlands Airport.

It had later warned of delays of 75 minutes and said there was about six miles (9.6km) of congestion.

But in a further update at 08:15 it said all lanes had opened, but there were delays of 50 mins due to the congestion.
