A man died after being stabbed during a fight in the street, an inquest opening has heard.
Liam Woolford, 22, was found with a "puncture wound" at the scene in Rhydyfelin, Rhondda Cynon Taf, and taken to University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff where the court heard he died during surgery.
An inquest opening at Pontypridd Coroner's Court heard South Wales Police responded to multiple calls from members of the public in the early hours of 23 September 2025 about "fighting in the street".
A post-mortem examination was carried out and a provisional cause of death was given as "stab wound to the trunk".
The court heard Mr Woolford lived in Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taf, and was born in Llantrisant.
Coroner Kerrie Burge adjourned the inquest until a later date and sent her condolences to Mr Woolford's family.
Four men have been charged in connection with his death and are due in court again later this month.
