Four people have been arrested following a night of violence in a residential area, police have said.

One person was injured on Thursday during an evening of attacks centred on Richmond Court in Grangetown, on Teesside, with police initially alerted at approximately 18:00 BST.

Cleveland Police said it had arrested three men and one woman.

Of these, a 32-year-old man has since been charged with offences including dangerous driving, possession of a knife and possession of a Class A drug. He is due in court on Monday.

Of the remaining people arrested, the force said a 27-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman had since been released on conditional bail.

Another 27-year-old man was still being questioned, a spokesperson added.

A Section 60 order, which has been in place since Friday night covering the area, will continue until at least 18:00 BST on Sunday, they said.

The order allows officers to stop and search people for weapons without needing reasonable suspicion.
