Fridge chemical leak at specialist care home

Fire crews were called to a care home after staff reported a chemical smell.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to Brainkind in Chantry Park, Ipswich, at 05:31 BST.
Staff at the specialist neurological centre also experienced eye irritation.
Crews found the leaking fridge had resulted in elevated levels of ammonia and the site was ventilated with the fridge removed.
Three fire engines and one fire officer attended the scene while remote support from a hazardous materials advisor was given.
Crews used breathing apparatus due to the leak but there was no harm to patients and "minimal disruption".
The scene was declared safe with a recommendation to have the fridge removed by by 08:46.
The East of England Ambulance Service was also called.
