The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for high winds across parts of the East of England.

The warning covers, external Bedford, Norfolk, Cambridge and Peterborough, as well as Northamptonshire and the northernmost part of Buckinghamshire including Milton Keynes.

Some places could experience gusts of wind of 50 to 60mph.

The alert remains in place until 04:00 BST on Sunday.

Those travelling by road, rail or air have been warned to expect disruption.

There is also a small chance of tiles being blown off roofs, closed bridges and power cuts, the Met Office said.
