Jersey Water has announced a fall in overall annual profits due to increased costs.
Despite making £2.8m in operating profit in 2024, the utility company's overall profit was lower this year at £943,000, compared to £1.3m the previous year.
In spite of reporting increased costs this year, the company said it remained "focused on the future", improving its financial performance and profitability, and addressing "critical strategic risks".
Heather MacCallum, chair of Jersey Water, said 2024 had been "a year of steady progress and delivery" for the company.
In its annual report, the firm recorded high water quality and customer satisfaction and a 5.5% reduction in leaks in 2024.
In terms of water quality, the company said 99.95% of all its samples, whether from treatment works, reservoirs or taps, met the regulatory requirements.
The report said Jersey Water invested nearly £5.5m in its capital programme throughout the year.
Ms MacCallum said: "Our commitment to delivering high levels of service and water quality for our customers remains at the heart of everything we do.
"Equally, it is critical that we make strategic investments to enhance our water supply infrastructure and services for the future.
"We are confident that, by adopting a balanced approach to both our operations and our resources, Jersey Water will be well-positioned for continued success in the years ahead."
Helier Smith, Jersey Water's chief executive, said the company was pleased by its annual performance, adding it recognised it needed to respond to "specific risks" to ensure "a safe, reliable and resilient water supply".
