HGV driver arrested after man dies in crash

A man has been killed after he was struck by a lorry on a main road in Bradford.
Police and the ambulance service were called to Rooley Lane near the junction with Bowling Hall Road just before 11:00 GMT.
The incident involved a male pedestrian and a HGV, West Yorkshire Police said.
The road has been closed and drivers are being advised to avoid the area.
The driver of the HGV was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and is in police custody.
Anyone who saw either the male or vehicle beforehand, witnessed the collision or has any relevant footage is asked to contact MCET on 101 referencing police log 550 of December 8.
