Arrest after boy, 15, robbed at knifepoint

A man has been arrested after a 15-year-old boy was robbed at knifepoint in Sherburn in Elmet.

The boy was threatened by a man who took his Moncler-branded coat at about 21:20 GMT on Boxing Day in the Low Street/Low Garth Road area of the town.

A 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and remained in custody, North Yorkshire Police said.

The force has appealed for witnesses or anyone with doorbell or dashcam footage to get in touch.
