Two lanes of a motorway that were closed following an HGV fire have been reopened.

National Highways said on X, external, the M25 in Essex had been blocked between junction 29 at Basildon and junction 30 at Dartford at about 02:23 BST on Thursday.

National Highways said the incident has now cleared and all lanes had reopened leaving minor delays in the area.

It added the fire service attended the scene.
