Jersey's annual air show started more than an hour later than planned because of high winds and technical problems, organisers said.

The Jersey International Air Display was due to start at 13:00 BST on Thursday but was pushed back to 14:17 BST with a reduced programme.

The show kicked off with a display by a North American OV-10B Bronco and ended with a 25-minute show from the Red Arrows just before 17:00 BST.

Organiser Mike Higgins said he was "unsure" whether two of the acts would be able to perform - the wing walkers and Falcon parachutists.

Mr Higgins said spectators were able to see the aircraft up close, adding: "Some of them are an amazing size, large or small. It is worth a visit."
