Drug dealer jailed after £15k stash found in flat

A drug dealer who hid nearly £15,000 worth of ketamine, cocaine and cannabis inside his flat has been given a three-year prison sentence.

Stefan Fitzgerald, 32, was arrested at his home in Fletton, Peterborough, on 17 January.

Police searched his flat under warrant and found a rock of cocaine in a wash basket, which was worth about £10,600.

Det Con Katie Orme, from Cambridgeshire Police, said the stash was a "significant find".

She said the police can use information from the community to help them obtain search warrants at court.

"On this occasion it has resulted in a substantial amount of drugs being taken off our streets," she said.

When at Fitzgerald's flat, officers also found pills, white powder and £150 cash in his coat pocket, a plastic container holding about £4,000 worth of cannabis and ketamine, and £5,000 cash in a TV unit.

Fitzgerald pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply ketamine, cocaine and cannabis, and possession of criminal property.
