Pool remains shut after car drives into gym

No-one was hurt in the incident at Vivacity Premier Fitness in Hampton

A swimming pool at a city leisure centre remains closed after a car drove into the building.
Vivacity Premier Fitness in Hampton, Peterborough, said the car hit one of the poolside windows and a fire exit on Saturday, which led to the closure of the health suite including the swimming pool, steam and sauna rooms.
A spokesperson said the sauna and steam rooms had reopened, following repairs to the fire exit, but more extensive repairs were required on the main window area.
In a letter to gym members, Vivacity apologised for the inconvenience. No timeline has been set for when the pool might reopen.
