Officer seriously injured as police car overturns

A police officer was seriously injured when their car flipped on to its roof during a collision with another vehicle.
It happened in Northern Approach Road, Colchester shortly before 19:00 BST on Monday.
Essex Police said the officer had been responding to an emergency when the car overturned. They were taken to hospital with a serious collarbone injury.
Witnesses have been urged to come forward with any information or dashcam footage.
