Two drivers arrested after fatal roundabout crash

Two men have been arrested after a fatal crash on a dual carriageway.

Essex Police were called to a collision involving two vehicles at the A130 Rayleigh Spur roundabout shortly after 04:15 BST.

The drivers of the two vehicles, who are aged 23 and 24, have both been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Police are not releasing details of the dead person yet.

Parts of the A130 and A1245 were closed between Rayleigh, Rettendon and South Benfleet earlier, but all roads have reopened.

The two men remained in custody.

Essex Police urged anyone with more information or dashcam footage to come forward.
