A man has been charged with murder after a "devoted" father died following an attack in a car park.
Navpreet Singh, 26, died of his injuries in hospital after he was assaulted in the parking area off Dudley Road, Wolverhampton, early on Wednesday.
Jashan Singh, 20, from Wolverhampton, was charged with murder and was due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, West Midlands Police said.
Two other men, aged 23 and 34, who were arrested on suspicion of murder have since been bailed pending further inquiries.
In a statement after his death, Navpreet Singh's family said he was a "loving husband, devoted father, brother and son" who was "eagerly awaiting" the birth of his second child.
"His wife is utterly heartbroken and inconsolable at the loss of her beloved husband, with whom she had been building a beautiful future," the statement added.
Police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the investigation to come forward.
