Plan for homes on greenfield land given go-ahead

A plan for 27 homes on greenfield land has been given the go-ahead despite a 1,000-strong petition against it.
Sioned Edwards, for Cadnant Planning, told Anglesey council on Tuesday the properties would be offered at an affordable rent.
Authority officials said surface water issues, a reason a previous application was rejected last year, had now been resolved.
Councillor Sonia Williams was worried about how wildlife would be affected, noise from the nearby A55 and the possibility of flooding.
But councillor Jeff Evans said arguments against the proposal were insufficient, and that the application would be granted on appeal were it rejected.
A scheme for 30 affordable homes in Llandegfan was also green lit by the council.
