A closed theatre and former town hall which has sat vacant for 13 years will go under the hammer next month.
Ryde Theatre, which is Grade II listed, was originally used as Ryde's town hall after it was built in Lind Street between 1829 and 1831.
It was damaged by fire in 1933, alterations and repairs were made afterwards and it was converted into a theatre between 1990 and 1991.
The Isle of Wight Council sold the building in 2010 and agent Savills said it could be used in several ways, including as a boutique hotel or homes.

The building will go up for auction on 9 December
Robin Howeson, the head of Savills Auctions, said: "With its generous layout and impressive volume, the building offers scope for a wide range of alternative uses, subject to the necessary planning consents.
"Potential alternative uses could include a boutique hotel, leisure destination, residential apartments, care facilities, or a mixed-use scheme."
He added: "We anticipate strong interest from investors and developers seeking a landmark asset in a highly desirable location, with the opportunity to preserve and celebrate its rich history while shaping its future."
The building has a guide price of £650,000, ahead of the auction on 9 December.
