A lorry driver has been taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a crash on the M18.

Humberside Police said two HGVs collided on the M18 southbound near to Greenlands Lane, near Goole, at around 11:35 GMT on Wednesday.

The driver of one of the HGVs, a red Scania, was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment.

Following the collision, the road was closed for several hours to allow officers to conduct inquiries and recover the two vehicles. It has now re-opened.

Humberside Police has appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
