A family has paid tribute to a mother and grandmother who died after being struck by a car.

Pedestrian Surinder Kaur, 79, was hit in Blue Lane West, Walsall, on 1 November. She was taken to hospital but later died from her injuries.

Two people have been questioned in connection with the crash and police said inquiries continue.

"She was a beloved member of the community who touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was a loving mother, sister, grandma and great-grandma who will deeply missed and has left a hole in our hearts that can’t be filled," her family said.

Anyone who was in the area at about 17:30 GMT that day should contact West Midlands Police.
