Man's death deemed non-suspicious

Officers have found no evidence of third-party involvement in the death of Henry Coupe

The death of a man has been deemed to be non-suspicious following an investigation, police said.

Henry Coupe, 50, was found dead near his home in Clifton Campville near Tamworth at around 05:00 BST on Tuesday 4 June.

Staffordshire Police said a team of specialist officers had been supporting his family and carrying out a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading up to the death.

Officers have found no evidence of third-party involvement and are preparing a file for the coroner.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We’ve carried out extensive forensic work across multiple locations, spoken to people who saw him at the time and carried out a complete investigation into the events on 4 June.

"His family have been fully supportive of the investigation and have been updated on the outcome.

"We know this news came as a concern to lots of members of the local community and we’d like to reassure them that the death is not suspicious.

"Our thoughts remain with Henry’s family and friends at this time."
