Police appeal over altercation between five men

Police were called to reports of the altercation on Monday night

Police are appealing for information over an altercation between five men in Derbyshire.

Derbyshire Police said officers were called to reports of the altercation in Ilkeston - close to the junction of Cotmanhay Road and Stringer Close - at 21:00 GMT on Monday.

The force has not said if there were any injuries as a result, or if anyone had been arrested.

There will be an increased police presence in the area while inquiries continue.

Police said officers were looking to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, in particular any drivers with dashcams, or homeowners with CCTV that might have captured the incident.
