Fashion show to raise money for cancer patients
- Published
A charity is holding a fashion show next month to raise money to support cancer patients.
The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s charity will host the event on 2 May.
The trust's staff, including medical and administrative workers, will become models for the evening and the audience will be able to buy clothes at a discounted rate.
Proceeds will be used to buy “comfort packs” for patients at New Cross Hospital, one of three hospitals run by the trust.
"The bags – which include lip balms, a knitted heart, puzzle book, adult colouring book and wet wipes - help patients through their chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment," said Amie Rogers, the charity's fundraising and lead digital engagement officer.
The audience will be able to buy clothes from brands such as ASOS, New Look and Marks & Spencer, at discounts of up to 75%.
The event will be the charity's third annual fashion show and it will take place at Fordhouses Cricket Club.
Tickets can be bought in advance on the WeGotTickets website.
