Body found during search for missing Folkestone woman

Kent Police said the family of a missing 24-year-old woman had been informed

Police searching for a missing woman from Folkestone say a body has been found.

Leah Daley, 24, was last seen at The Warren at around 19:00 BST on 5 May.

A body was discovered in undergrowth at the area on Friday afternoon, police said.

Kent Police said in a statement: "While formal identification has not yet taken place, the family of a 24-year-old woman who was reported missing from the town has been informed."

Searches had taken place in Folkestone and The Warren area since the bank holiday weekend

A Facebook search group set up by concerned friends and relatives of Ms Daley had attracted more than 7,000 members.

Kent Police released CCTV images of the missing woman and had conducted searches in the east of the town and The Warren area since the bank holiday weekend.
