Police have appealed for help to trace a man who lifted a schoolgirl’s skirt and took a photo.
The girl was followed as she walked to school along Allhallowgate and Priest Lane in Ripon between 08:20 BST and 08:40 on Friday, North Yorkshire Police said.
Workmen witnessed the man rapidly approach the girl near a set of traffic lights, with the perpetrator running off when challenged.
The force asked anyone with information, dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch.
The man, who ran off down Stonebridgegate towards Aldi and then headed to Princess Close, was described as white, in his late teens to early 20s, around 5ft 9in tall, of slim build with a pointy nose and short hair.
He was wearing a dirty, white hooded top, grey jogging bottoms, odd socks and light-coloured trainers.
