Murder arrest after injured woman's death

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Rotherham.
South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to an address in Herringthorpe just before 18:00 BST on Friday.
A woman was found with serious injuries at the property and despite medical attention was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson said a 56-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
A scene and road closures have been put in place in Herringthorpe to enable officers to carry out their investigation, they added.
