Murder arrest after woman found dead

A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in Stafford.
Staffordshire Police said they were called to a property on Newport Road shortly before 10:30 BST on Monday morning.
The man remained in custody on Tuesday, and officers have been given extra time to question him, they added.
