Arson arrest after woman and dog rescued from fire

A 71-year-old woman was arrested after the house fire in Tamworth, police said

A 71-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a house fire.
The blaze broke out at a home on Gresley, Tamworth, at about 18:30 BST on Tuesday.
A dog and a woman were rescued from the house and the flames were put out within 20 minutes, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
A spokesperson added the fire, which began in an upstairs bedroom, was believed to have been started deliberately.
No-one was hurt in the fire, Staffordshire Police said.
The woman who was arrested, who is from Tamworth, was released on bail while the investigation continued.
