Police officer suspended after sex offences charge

A police officer in the Highlands has been suspended after being arrested and charged with sexual and communications offences.

Police Scotland said 37-year-old Cameron Ross had been traced in connection with the allegations.

The force said the alleged offences were not recent.

A spokesperson confirmed the officer had been suspended.
