Couple suspected of selling drugs through fence

A couple in Evesham have been arrested after being suspected of selling drugs through a hole in their garden fence.

The man and woman are in police custody having been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A substances.

A special police task force used a battering ram and a chainsaw to gain entry to a house at Rynal Place on Tuesday.

Once inside, officers said they discovered a knife, weighing scales, multiple bags of suspected heroin and cocaine, as well as cash and eight mobile phones.

Six people are reported to have lived at the property.

Neighbourhood Sgt Duncan Eades, from West Mercia Police, said: "The community have been telling us that people are supplying drugs from this location and from what we have found it would probably seem that way.

"Along with people who have shown up at the address who have admitted to being here to buy drugs."
