As people across Wales make their way to polling stations, so do their dogs.

Animals, apart from assistance dogs, are not usually allowed in polling stations, but other dogs can be permitted at the discretion of the local authority.

It's not just Welsh pups making their owner's vote count, #DogsAtPollingStations was trending on X - formerly known as Twitter - on Thursday.
