Car driver dies in crash with lorry

A 57-year-old man has died in a crash involving a lorry.
The collision happened on the A68 near Bingfield, Northumberland, at about 13:20 BST on Friday.
The man who died at the scene was the driver of a Mini Clubman car which crashed with a heavy goods vehicle.
Police said the reasons for the crash were "yet to be established" and the lorry driver had remained at the scene to assist officers with their enquiries.
Insp Sarah Munnelly, of Northumbria Police, said: "All of our thoughts are firmly with the family and loved ones of the man who has sadly passed away.
"This is an incredibly tragic incident and we will continue to support them in any way we can."
She urged anyone with information on the crash to contact police.
