The roadworks have been extended

Roadworks on Trinity Road in Jersey have been delayed due to the discovery of voids beneath the carriageway.
The works were scheduled to be completed on 1 September.
The Government of Jersey said it had looked into multiple options to open the road but the work needed to be completed was in the centre of the carriageway.
The road closure has been extended to 10 September
The Government of Jersey said the extension was to ensure the "long-term safety and stability of the road."
It added the team would be working to complete as soon as possible.
It said it understood "the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologise for the disruption" and addressing the issues now would prevent future roadworks and further closures.
It was engaging with affected businesses in the area to provide support and minimise the impact of the extended works.
"Public safety remains our top priority, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these critical infrastructure upgrades," it said.
