Men pretending to be police rob jewellers

Four men posing as police officers have robbed a jewellery shop in Bradford, West Yorkshire Police have said.

Officers were called to the incident at Chacha Jewellers on Great Horton Road at 11:18 BST on Saturday.

Police said the group of men had entered the shop and left with a quantity of items before fleeing the scene in a grey Citroen C3 car.

No injuries were reported during the incident and officers have asked anyone who witnessed the incident or has any CCTV footage to get in touch.

A force spokesperson said the four men were all white.

"One was wearing a black T shirt with a police logo on the back and two others were wearing white shirts, while the fourth man was wearing a black shirt and a high vis vest marked 'police," they added.

Det Insp Dennise Bell added: "We are conducting a number of active enquiries into this robbery and are pursuing lines of investigation today."
