Police are still investigating a crash in which a woman was seriously injured, and later died from her injuries.

Tributes have been paid to Charlotte Beynon, 32, who was involved in the collision in Rhayader, Powys, on 3 December.

She was a passenger in a white BMW M235 which crashed into bridge at around 13:30 GMT that day, Dyfed-Powys Police said on Monday.

Ms Beynon was taken to hospital where she died on 7 December, the force said.

"Charlotte was absolutely one of a kind, funny without realising it, totally beautiful both inside and out with a love of life, animals, friends, family, and work colleagues," her family said in a tribute.

They said she would "breeze into a room with her big smile and make everything brighter and everyone feel better about themselves".

"Charlotte was unique in so many ways and is utterly irreplaceable to her mother, late father, brother, niece, and other members of the family and valued friends," the statement said.

They added that they were comforted by the knowledge that she would now be at peace with her late father "who she cherished and missed every day".

Dyfed-Powys Police asked anyone who witnessed the collision, or who had any information that might help police enquiries, to get in touch.
