Man in 80s dies after head-on crash near school

The man was pulled from the car before it caught on fire, and then suffered a cardiac arrest

A man in his 80s has died after head-on crash near a school in Swindon.
Wiltshire Police said the crash between a silver Hyundai i10 and an MG HS near Great Western Academy happened at 13:00 BST on Monday.
The driver of the Hyundai suffered a suspected cardiac arrest and died at the scene after it caught on fire. He was pulled out by members of the public.
The driver of the MG, a woman in her 30s, suffered injuries which are not thought to be serious.
The force said his next of kin have been informed, adding William Morris Way has been reopened in both directions.
Officers want anyone with information about the crash to contact them.
