A wedding videographer has said he is in disbelief after one of his videos went viral, racking up more than 120m views on social media.

The video, filmed by JOL Videography at Hawkstone Hall and Gardens in Hodnet, Shropshire, showed groom Elliot Gwilliam listening to a surprise message on the public address system from his three-year-old daughter, Evie.

It was played just before she walked down the aisle with her mum, Emma Beddow, who was the bride. The message brought tears and laughter from Mr Gwilliam and his guests, as Evie said her mum "looked beautiful", before finishing off with "See you, alligator".

"I can't believe how crazy it's gone," said Owen Bloor at the Shrewsbury-based company.

"I'm so happy for the couple as well, because it's such a moment that people are going absolutely mental for; it's lovely," he added.

The video, which he filmed on 28 December and uploaded on 2 January, has also had more than 15m likes and thousands of comments.

"Emma, the bride, messaged me a few days before and said, 'I'd love to do this idea'," said Mr Bloor.

"Elliot was really emotional about it; you can tell in the video. He just says, 'Nah', and that's it.

"He was emotional anyway, and it was such an amazing moment for us to be able to capture; it's just fantastic."

He added that he had to make sure the surprise was kept a secret.

"The bride knew, the venue knew… I knew, and the photographer knew. I'm not sure about the bridesmaids," he laughed.

And he explained: "It's just making sure I can position him in the right position, and I can capture that the right way and just let the moment unfold and let it be what it is."
