Teenager raped in early hours in Moray park

Police were called to the scene in Elgin

A teenager has been raped in a park in Moray.

Police Scotland forensic officers carried out investigations at the scene in Cooper Park, Elgin on Sunday.

The force said the attack on a 17-year-old woman happened earlier that day between 02:30 and 03:00.

Anyone who was in the park or who had spoken to a young woman in the area around that time has been asked to contact police on the non-emergency line.
