Tributes have been paid to a man who died 10 days after being allegedly attacked at a private charity event being held at a football club.
Jack Oliver Frogell, known as Olly, was assaulted at Hemel Hempstead Town FC in the early hours of 25 October and died on Tuesday, Hertfordshire Police said.
His wife, Lisa, said the 48-year-old was "the most wonderful dad and loving husband".
Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
In a tribute to her husband, Mrs Frogell said: "Our beloved Olly, loved by so many, he was truly the most wonderful dad and loving husband but also the heart of our community.
"This has left us with a huge void in our lives that can never be filled."
Police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
Det Insp Caeva Taylor, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: "We want to find out exactly what happened in the lead up to the assault.
"If you attended the event, but did not see the assault, you may still be able to help. Please get in touch as you could have useful information.
"I would also like to add that we are aware of footage of the incident circulating and we would ask that people do not share this any further, as to do so could jeopardise any future criminal proceedings."
A man was arrested in connection with the incident on 26 October.
