Woman seriously injured in scooter crash

A woman has been seriously injured in a collision between a car and a scooter.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the scene of a crash in Duke Street, Ipswich, at 17:10 BST on Thursday.
A black Volkswagen Polo and a Honda 125 scooter were involved in the crash, and the driver of the scooter - a woman in her 50s - sustained possibly life-changing injuries.
She was taken to Ipswich Hospital initially before being transported to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where she remains.
The road was closed between Pownall Road and Holywells Road before restrictions were lifted by 20:10.
